This learning journey is a high-end learning & development opportunity - for (high) potential talents of Finance, HR, Legal and Marketing & Communications - to manage out-performance through excellent business partnering, under the umbrella of the World League programs. The functional business partner is a key player in impacting business results working closely with our senior leaders, by shaping an agenda that supports the overall aim of the company. They have to thoroughly understand the business they support and have the ability to advise and influence internal clients.

This program is intended for Finance, HR, Legal and Marketing & Communications senior professionals and managers who have a major impact in our organisational performance and are seen as strong candidates for a next career step within the Randstad Group. The participants have been identified and confirmed as high potential according to the potential identification toolkit and the local people review. The participants are working in a position at company level 3/4 in large, company level 2/3 in mid-sized and small Opcos. This roughly equals Hay grades between 17 and 20. As the program is given in English, a good command of both spoken and written English is essential.


objectives

The learning journey is intended to support the transition from being an expert in the function, to a business partner that contributes to strategic and tactical business results more effectively. The program aims to facilitate the transition to a trusted advisor with broader skills and knowledge, who is able to connect the different perspectives from the different business areas, and who knows how to foster diverse connections and conversations. The specific program objectives are to:

  • broaden strategic awareness, strategic thinking and customer focus; link to Randstad strategy, building blocks and growth drivers
  • develop a better understanding of what out-performance means for yourself, colleagues, the function and the results of the operating company link to driving activity-based field steering (ABFS)
  • recognize and develop the personal leadership qualities associated with being a High Performing Business Partner required to drive change in the business

After completion of the program, participants will have increased their knowledge of:

  • Randstad’s strategy, ambition and strategic priorities incl. ABFS
  • customer-centric thinking and the impact on the role of business partner
  • outperforming in support functions
  • implementing customer value propositions as a business partner
  • what is their influence and impact on Randstad in a functional and/or integrated approach
  • how World League can help to excel as a business partner
  • how they can strengthen their core competencies, skills and knowledge, what does their personal leadership plan look like


the program Pre-work: In order to extend the learning experience and to increase the program impact, participants will be asked to do pre and post-program work. The work consists of: individual reflection (defining learning goals, self-assessment on World League Competences), assignments (interviews with internal clients), understanding Randstad (video on ABFS) and conversations with the superior on learning goals and transfer of learning/action planning.

In-person session: It is a 2.5 day program that consists of three building blocks: understanding the strategic landscape, out-performance in supporting the business and making an impact

Post-program: one-to-one coaching by TIAS coaches and several post-assignments.
