enrollment how do I enroll myself or a colleague for a program?

Enrollment should be done by the HR business partner of your operating company for the following programs: Senior Executive Program, Future Executive Program and the High Performing Business Partner program. For the remaining programs, enrollment can be done by the manager of the participant or by the HR business partner.  Enrollments should not be completed by employees and those responsible for the budget must always be in agreement. The person who completes the enrollment form will receive confirmation from the Frits Goldschmeding Academy if the participation is confirmed approximately 12 weeks before the start of the learning journey in-person session.

do all participants get accepted?

If you apply for one of the programs, the participation is not final until this has been confirmed by the Academy. We always have a set target group per program (see program-specific pages) and a maximum number of participants, therefore, it is not possible for everybody to participate. We strive for participant diversity and try to give all operating companies the opportunity to enroll colleagues for our learning journeys. For this reason, it is also possible that we have a maximum number of participants per operating company.

For some programs, such as the Senior Executive Program, the Future Executive Program and the High Performing Business Partner program, we have a strict nomination process in place.

I received an invitation to a learning journey, but I wasn’t aware of this. what should I do?

Please contact your manager and/or your HR business partner as they are likely to have nominated you.

unfortunately I am unable to attend the learning journey, what should I do?

Please contact your manager and HR department so that a replacement participant can be found as soon as possible. If you cancel within one month before the in-person session of the program, full tuition will be charged to your Opco. However, where possible your HR manager is allowed to nominate a replacement candidate for the learning journey, taking the nomination requirements into consideration. Please contact the Frits Goldschmeding Academy as soon as possible regarding any cancellations or changes in participant.

program due to other obligations, I will arrive later / have to leave earlier. is this possible and who do I need to inform?

We strongly suggest you free your schedule during the learning journey. This also goes for traveling; don’t book your flights too close to the start or end of the program. It is better to arrive one day earlier or leave one day later if your calendar allows for it for you can arrive ready to learn. However, if there is no other option, please inform the Frits Goldschmeding Academy in advance, so that we can communicate this to the program faculty.

are the evening programs mandatory? what if I’m unable to join for certain reasons?

Yes, they are part of the program. Meeting your colleagues from all over the world in a more informal setting really aids the group dynamic and supports to group learning. If you can’t be part of the evening program for whatever reason, please inform the Frits Goldschmeding Academy in advance.

what is the dress code for the program?

The dress code for all programs is business casual. This means that suits and ties are not required, but jeans are not appreciated either. Good to know: the meeting locations are usually air-conditioned, so if you’re sensitive to cold, please dress accordingly.

why are some programs not scheduled yet?

Some programs which have been held in the past have been updated or amalgamated into other learning journeys and are no longer available. All programs which are still being organized and for which it is possible to enroll colleagues, you can find on the program specific pages.

other should I book my own flight and accommodation?

Accommodation is booked for each learning journey as a group and organized through our external travel management company. Approximately 6 weeks before the start of the in-person session, you will receive an invitation to register your accommodation needs as well as other details about your travel and transfers.

Flights should be organized by the participant; please include your flight details when you register with our travel management company.

who’s paying for the costs incurred?

Your Opco is directly responsible for the costs in terms of travel and indirectly for the costs of accommodation and transfers (FGA will pay up front and the costs will be invoiced to your Opco). Costs for tuition are shared 50-50 between the Frits Goldschmeding Academy and your Opco and will be invoiced afterwards.
